I have a crush on a guy who is six years older than me…does he like me back?
So…I have a crush on a guy who is 23 and I’m only 17…He’s pretty much besties with my step dad, so he’s over ALOT! everyone in my family knows I like him and I’m like 99.9% sure He knows by how blushy I get around him….anyway, i’ll list some of the things that had me question if he likes me.
1) I had a problem With my guitar once, where one of the nuts were popping out, And I showed him(because he’s kinda an expert with guitars) and he couldn’t fix it…anyway a couple of days later he called my step dad and asked where the nearest music stores were, and i turns out he had bought stuff to fix my guitar! don’t know if that’s such a big deal but I thought it was sweet.
2) me and my family went over to his house to go swimming for mother’s day and I brought one of my friends with me, anyway, he was pretty alone, because my step dad didn’t come and there was alot of our other family members who were there that weren’t really talking to him, anyway he was in his own little corner and me and my friend were in another…and my friend kept saying he was looking at me, he kept telling me this throughout the whole time we were there. Yet again I don’t know if this is a big deal.
3) Me, him and my step dad have recently been going to hollister hills(It’s an off road park) alot, anyway we were towng our toyota with my step dad’s suburban and he was being sarcastic and was saying " oh there’s a toyota following us, he must of saw alex in the backseat and thought she was most pretty girl he’s ever seen." (I’m alex) then My crush said," yeah, he’s probely saying whoes that hott chick in the backseat?" IDK he refered to me as hott so I felt good, but he reffered to me as hott again…kinda….we were talking about the kinda cr I shoul get and he said I’d look hott in a toyota with tinted windows, and that I’d be getting the attention of all the guys and i’d have to be careful of stalkeres. Yeah…it culd just mean he was just giving his opinion.
4) When we were four wheeling he told me not to put my arm out the window because it was dangerous and it scares him when I do. It felt good that he cared about me.
5) later on we were sitting at a camp area and there was a fire pit next to where we were chillin’ and my step dad through something into I’m not quite sure what it was but it made a huge thing of smoke flow towards me and it was hitting me for a while when he all of a sudden said that smoke follows beauty…IDK either.
6)we were talking and I was being really shy, blushy and fidgety, and he said that there’s no reason to be like that because I am a beautiful attractive girls with goals and priorities and that I have a great personality and should always be myself.
******i don’t know if any of this means anything but a part of me thinks he cares about me in a brother sister kinda way and nothing more…but I like him so much more than that, he’s always been so sweet to me and the way he looks at me is that kind that can take your breath away….but who am I to know, i’m only a teenager…so plase…anyone…give me your opinion…I’m desprate for some kind of answer.
Im gonna be honest………………………………….. I think he’s just being nice…. your a minor your under 18…. maybe he likes you as a friend…. what would your dad think seince thats his best friend?….

I think that if your family doesn’t care and you sit down and have a discussion with him, then maybe see where he stands on the issue. Find out if he thinks of you as more of a sister or someone he could see himself dating.
You need to be able to accept his answer though, whatever it may be. I don’t think that there is a problem with it as long as you make sure that your family supports you, not that it would matter but it would make your situation a lot easier.
