So, this just came out, Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu has decided to vote yes on allowing the Bill to proceed in the Senate, which means the Democrats are 1 vote shy of allowing this bill to go to the floor. So as it stands now, 59 yes, 40 no, and 1 undecided (Sen Blanche Lincoln). Your thoughts? Can the democrats get 1 more vote?

"you" better hope they do.

WEll, it will only go to the floor when Reid knows he has the votes. If the vote is scheduled to happen, she is probably a yes

I think once it passes the Senate and has to be written as a joint bill and voted on, we will be so close to the 2010 elections, that the house wont dare vote yes for fear of losing their jobs. As it stands now, they only passed their own bill by 5 votes.

btw….didnt Mary Landrieu get paid off BIG TIME for that vote? I think I heard them calling it The Lousiana Purchase! THese people are beyond appalling.

Should Senator Blanche Lincoln refuses to vote "Yes"; the Dems should find a replacement to run in the next election.

Harry Reid would not have brought this to a vote if he didn’t have the votes. So each time he announces he is going to have a vote, he has the votes to pass it.

Yes, but that doesn’t mean health care reform will pass, just that debate can proceed.

Democrats now have all 60 votes. Lincoln just said yes
Freshmoves91 | Nov 21, 2009

This vote won’t effect their re-election. The next vote will. If they struggle to get 60 now, the real thing has no shot.

This is not a vote, it is a mass suicide for the democrats.

2010 the democRATS are going down.
