IMDB rating: 6.50 Plot: Wes Craven produces this remake of his 1977 classic of the same name, about the Carters, an idyllic American family travelling through the great American southwest. But their trip takes a detour into an area closed off from the public, but more importantly from society. An area originally used by the U.S. Government for nuclear testing that was intended to be empty…or so they thought? When the Carter’s car breaks down at the old site, they’re stranded…or are they? As the Carters may soon realize that what seemed like a car casually breaking down, might actually be a trap. This trap might be perpetrated by the inhabitants of the site who aren’t pulling a prank, but are out to set up a gruesome massacre. |

Please do not take this as a racist question: I have noticed that the afriacn american males…?
between puberty and about 30 in my area (central cali), for the most part, are your stereotypical wanna be thugs that think that wearing there pants down low is cool and playing their music loud is cool and in general acting like bully’s is cool. I want to understand why. Why would you put yourself out in the public eye as a negotive conitation and do it while wearing Malcolm X or Tupac shirts (who were both completely against acting out in these irrational ways)? What is it that makes them want to do this? I’ve also noticed that these are the same people standing infront of the welfare office, is this a coralation?
Again this is not a racist question, I know plenty of African American people who work hard and are good wholesome honest people, and, I know plenty of White guys that are complete redneck hill billy’s. So I don’t want anyone to think that I am trying to degrate or immoralize one race. This is an actual question to gain better understanding of my own community.
Okay I need to add this in here because I think I may have worded this incorrectly. Either that or people are just reading the first few sentences and then yelling without answering me. I want to know where the whole, Let’s pull out our gats and shoot someone attitude comes from? And to the girl that says I prejudge people, unfortunately without clarification you are right I do and will continue to, but, if instead of yelling at me for that you try to help me understand then maybe I won’t. this is what I am looking for, with just this small portion of an entire race what is the reason for this small portion to act in such a manner? I’m not saying that everyone else doesn’t have there issues but I know asian gang members I learned why they are the way they are, I’ve met hill billies I know why they are the way they are. I’ve met cholos and I get them too. I just don’t know any african americans. So help me understand please.
BTW britney I reported you I’m not looking for that here.
appollo that quite honestly makes about the most sense out of everything else I’ve read.
I knew this was a dangerous question to ask.
I haven’t seen anybody wearing baggy jeans/pants low in a LONG time; that is so 2004. Skinny jeans are in now (which are definitely not much better!)

I wonder this myself. I think they are acting like morons. You’re right though not all are like this but the ones who are, are idiots!

I read your paragraph and couldn’t really breakdown what you were trying to ask. All I know is that most people are a product of their environment. Good and bad.

i really hope your not white because if you are your a disgrace to our race its people like you who make it seem like were all racist and were not.
there are different types of people in every race even ours there are hill billy red necks and trailer white trash but does that mean that we are all like this? no it doesn’t so stop finding one bad thing and saying everyone is like that or and dont say most because thats just a loooop hole of saying all.

To answer your question, it’s because they have no intelligence level, or respect.
Nobody wants to hire someone who looks like a total goon, so of course they’d be outside the welfare offices.
Just like you said, some white people are the same way, though.
The only difference is most white guys think it’s pathetic.
Most black guys are the same way.

What about people who skateboard or do unthought of stunts(Jackass) to get attention at this age….its not just us.
Its jsut men period some dont want to grow up(those who still live at home) and men mature late anyway.
Imma let you pass this time on this question. But if the next one sounds a lil racist then……but until then….Pants on the ground, Pant on the ground, with your hat to the side, hat to the side….lol

You are racist and claiming to know some "Red necks", doesn’t change what you are. You fail to recognize cultural preferences and how poor people manage to exist in a white dominated society.
While I concur that many are boorish, tired, rude and inconsiderate, how would you alter the way in which the dominant culture projects itself worldwide onto african american people? In Times Square on New Years Eve, many white people gather together and play music really loud as well as other obnoxious behavior. Do you really believe that any of those people care if they disturb anyone that doesn’t agree in their choice of what they celebrate?
